This summer has been quite devastating. First, Michael Twist died in a car accident. Then, one of my neighbors, who my parents and I were very close with, had a stroke and died. And Just recently, one of my friends, Julian, passed away. I remember just waking up thinking it was going to be a normal day, then I logged on instant messenger and someone told me that he had drowned the previous night. I couldn't understand how this could have happened, so I chose not to believe it at first. But, as they told me more about it in detail, I understood. Julian went down a hero, and still is one to this day. Sorry for waiting until now to post this; sorry if this resurrects old tears.

My family and I didn't really celebrate the Fourth of July that much. I just watched all the illegal fireworks going on around my house - this year there wasn't that much, surprisingly. My neighborhood has been infested with cops lately, and mabye that's why. Just the other night two abalences, a firetruck, and two police cars, showed up at this house at the end of my block [which usually has alot or problems]. And when Mark Twain [a middle school close to where I live] releases their students, cops are constantly patrolling the area making sure they stay out of trouble.

Drivers Ed is coming to an end! Im both excited and sad, excited because it will over with, yet sad because I won't be able to see my friends again that much. But, we can always plan something over the weekend or whatever! -Hint Hint... Today will be my last day, but my other two friends missed a day so they have to make that day up. HaHa, im such a nerd - I have perfect attendence! Yay!! Oh ya, and I get my permit this Thursday! Now all I need now is 7 hours of Driving and Observation and I will have my License!! But, I'm kind of scared to drive now thanks to the films that they show during class. People getting mutilated because they were driving defensively and then a drunk driver smashes into them head on, stuff like that. Oh, and I found out that one of the couples in the films we saw was my Aunt and Uncle! We had a family reunion Saturday and that's where I asked them about the interview; they remember having it 6 years ago. Their son was helping someone else jump start their car then a drunk driving crashed into him and he was dragged about 20 feet, killed instantly. That is what I will be most afraid of when I drive, other people who don't care or make stupid desicions such as drinking and then deciding to drive.
